Low Pressure (Altitude) Test

ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS

Low Pressure (Altitude) Test is made to determine whether the tested sample will resist to low pressure (altitude) conditions or rapid pressure change. For this test leakproof and heat insulated special rooms or chambers containing auxiliary equipment which will provide and monitor required low pressure and temperature conditions. The performance of the sample is monitored during or at the end of the test, the errors emerging are recorded if there are any.

Evaluation Methods:

  • Stable and/or changeable altitudes,
  • Conditions that carried and operated at pressurised or unpressurised areas of the plane,
  • Rapid decompression (rapid pressure changes),
  • Plane external carrying.

This test, includes four low pressure procedures:

  • Procedure I (Storage)
  • Procedure II (Operation)
  • Procedure III (Rapid Decompression)
  • Procedure IV (Explosive Decompression)
